reality bites

the month of august sucked:

my parent's had their sweet kitty, abby, put to sleep...today (which isn't technically august, but close enough) the husband's parents had to have their sweet kitty, sampson, put to sleep...even though both lived a long and full life it's never easy to make the decision and have to let them go forever...

and last friday, august 27th, the seven year old daughter of one of my coworker's was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma...she started second grade on wednesday, went to the dr. wednesday afternoon and spent the next 2 days enduring a battery of tests at a nearby children's cancer hospital...

ashley is an incredibly cute little red headed sprite...she is full of spunk and if anyone can beat this she can...

after surgery on monday to remove one of the four tumors in her tiny body she was sent home last nite to heal a little bit before starting treatment this coming monday...please keep ashley and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they begin this long journey...there are a lot of people praying for her and we all believe that there is infinite power in prayer and positive thoughts...

hug  your loved ones both human and furry...you never, ever know what tomorrow will bring...today is a gift, that's why it's called 'the present'...
