birds (again)

remember our baby birds?

well...they are growing up fast...we can hear them chirp, chirp, chirping whenever the windows are open...mama bird & daddy bird are feeding them round the clock...here they are one week after the picture above was taken:

by the husband's calculations they should be flying away to college next weekend...boohoo...i hope someone else takes up residence in the bird house this spring...

meanwhile....back inside...

"mr. cardinal, you are SO mine...yeah, you enjoy that last bath...i'm in here drooling and trying to figure out how to get thru this window screen"
(do NOT pay any attention to the fence...repeat, do NOT look at the fence...we know it's really dirty)

"yes mr. cardinal...you will be mine...i'm hunched down so far you cannot see me...can you??...i am so super stealth...you will never know what hit you"

"methinks you will taste just like chicken*"

oh by the way, i made yogurt this weekend!  come back wednesday to see how it turned out...

*rest assured, no birds were harmed in the making of this post...our cats have not & will never taste bird...they only dream of it from the confines of our home.

They are much cuter than last week!

That picture of the cats looking out the window is too funny. Your fence has character! Our fence is falling down...looks like a ghetto out there at our house!

I meant to ask the first time you shared pics of the baby birds, HOW did you get those shots?? That is so neat to see them at birth and then now. Very cool.

Aw! They are growing up so fast!! There must be baby birds around our place because I saw an empty egg shell on the weekend. And we've got a woodpecker that pecks on the tin roof of our wood shed, haha....
