birds of change exchange giveaway

TIME'S UP...WINNER ANNOUNCED MOMENTARILY...

today is a day of change for our country...and in honor of that change there is a 'birds of change exchange' giveaway going on...the idea belongs to creative kismet.

here is my offering:

a 'redbird' of peace, hope and happiness

the entire flock (for the exchange)

i had a lot of fun with this, my first ever exchange...in keeping with one of my resolutions for 2009 i made these sweet birdies with supplies i already had:
  • cotton calico leftover from christmas gifts
  • vintage rick rack in my stash
  • fiberfill i've had forever
  • thread, a staple in my stash

if you would like to win the redbird just leave a comment regarding something you are hopeful for in 2009. i will draw the lucky winner's name on wednesday evening at 7:30pm est.

if you are interested in other 'birds of change' giveaways, please visit creative kismet's blog for a complete listing (she is on mountain time so all you east coasters, it may be a bit before her post is up!)

thanks!

I just learned, today, that a big exam I've been preparing months for will take place on the 2nd of March. So I'm really hopeful that it will all go well, and I will get a really extraordinary grade in it, so that I can stay working in the library where I am right now! :-D

Thanks for the chance to win your precious bird :-)

I love your color combinations - it's fun to use some of that stash, isn't it!

Oh, the many things I'm hopeful for... (I've typed about 14 things and then erased them...) improved relations with the world, that's the one I'm going to keep.

Hi Girlville - I noticed your cat photo while leaving a comment at Ahrisha's Joyously Living Life blog and had to check you out! You bio " little blog about an over 30-something with a husband, 4 cats and a tendency towards unfinished projects..." cracked me up and made my day! When people ask if my 30-something husband and I have kids, I always respond, "Yes, named Cat-alina & Cat-puccino! We have cat-ren not child-ren!" Nice to meet you and love the blog. Best,
The Antiques Diva
