valentime's redux

first off, tyler would like for one of you to please call social services on me! this is the 2nd morning in a row he's had no food...poor little thing - look how he just stares at the empty bowl (the blue one with only crumbs)...he will sit like that until i fill it up...it makes me feel very bad...must remember to fill up bowl before going to bed (since they are nocturnal little creatures they eat most of their food during the nite)

last nite for valentine's we went out to eat with in-laws, nephew #1 and 'M'...then we all went to the SPCA (or SPPA as the nephew called it) to the 4th annual 'bark and wine':

several local distributors donated wine and beer for a wine tasting at the adoption facility...so you can wander around sipping wine, eating appetizers and sweets and see all the cute dogs/cats/bunnies/puppies/kittens (okay, there weren't any kittens, it's not kitten season...there was a room of 'toddler kitties' though) available for adoption...

it's a nice event and we've gone every year...it's our valentine tradition...coming soon: the annual dog walk...we didn't volunteer for this last year as we were at the beach or something, however we will be there this year.. everyone come on down with your pugs and other dogs and walk them around our downtown!

this weekend i've got to do some cleaning out as i'm loaning a piece of furniture i have shoved in a closet to a co-worker to use for her nursery...and decorate for easter...and finish easter banners as i now have several orders (thanks to all who have ordered one!)...and hopefully open my etsy shop...

happy weekend!

~k

ps: the nephew did NOT have any wine...he just held puppies

Hehe. I love your P.S. :)

That event sounds totally awesome. I liked reading the brochure. Your SPCA looks like it must be really nice.

What kind of food did they have?

Love the pic of Tyler staring at the empty bowl. I have to tell you that you aren't alone. My cats (2) often sit and look at their bowl when they know I'm headed into the kitchen in the mornings, as they are almost always empty at that time of day.

By the way...loved the "kitten season" comment.

That event sounds like so much fun!!
Jerry does the same thing with his food bowl. He'll just stare at it as if food will magically appear.
