christmas recap

we spend the saturday before christmas celebrating with my dad's family...christmas eve we had dinner and opened gifts with the husband's family...christmas day i had my parent's, aunt and a couple of friends over for brunch...
i didn't take a lot of pictures at any of our big christmas holiday to-dos...here is a small selection from christmas eve at the in-laws:
the yule log i bought from a local bakery for dessert- it was SO good! someone said it would be neat to make it a new tradition to have one every year...i think that's a great idea...

the husband with MIL's cat, sampson...he's a maine coon

the niece ripped her gifts open in record time...

nephew #1 showing off his gift from us...a canvas tote full of art supplies...

nephew #2 spent time with each gift before moving on to the next one...

the husband poses with nephew #3 showing off their matching carhartt overalls (our gift to him)

the niece is a little disappointed that she's finished opening her gifts...

yes, honey...you just gotta put on your pink rockstar wig and get on with it...christmas is ovah!

That bouche de noel is stunning. And yes, you should do it every year. Maybe we will too. I'll hav eto see if the bakery in town makes one. I suppose I could try and make it... but I like the idea of buying it better!

Love the matching overalls!

Oh my...give me that cake!!! Looks like a great time for everyone. Doesn't take long to rip through the gifts. Little overalls are so cute.
