tivo alert

tomorrow morning as part of the 'summer in the city' series the cbs early show will be live in downtown raleigh! i'm not going down there and hold up a big sign that says 'hey y'all' or anything like that as 1) you have to be there at 6:30am and 2) i have to work. the concert is going to be bruce hornsby and ricky skaggs...neither of which are local muscians, but maybe that's not the point. in a couple of weeks there is going to be a big festival downtown called 'raleigh wide open 2' with a parade, concerts all day long ending with eddie money, a beer garden and wine garden, movies on the lawn at moore square (dream girls) and fireworks at 10pm. we are planning to go and i'll take lots of pictures.

The festival sounds like a lot of fun, I don't think I'd go to the early show either!

Oh that sounds like fun. I love when cities do things like that.

That does sound like fun! Although, with the heat and all....take a fan on a rope with you!

The festival sounds like fun. There was one (not sure if it's the one you mentioned) that was held last year in a park (??) downtown and they had all day music. I think it was free. We were planning on going becasue their were some people performing that we wanted to see but I think they were calling for rain so we stayed here. Of course, Raleigh didn't get a drop of rain.

I think it was one of those sponsored by budlite. We've never visited Raleigh before so we thought it would be a nice road trip. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.
