please, don't shoot the messenger a.k.a. no wednesday house tour...

...y'all i've been really busy lately and cleaning the house keeps getting shoved to the bottom of my to do list...pictures of the master bedroom, bathroom or any room in the house for that matter were out of the question!

so instead...here are pictures from my downtown lunch adventure to the weekly farmer's market. this is the same downtown square that we went to this weekend for artsplosure. remember the sand sculpture the guy was making...well here's how it looks now:

i guess kids have been playing on it and whatnot...i would have loved to have seen it completed.

here is the husband approaching the farmer's stands...

this week we got a loaf of some sort of bread, a big bag of organic mixed salad greens, strawberries, paprika & garlic goat cheese and wine...and since we are such good customers to this winery, they gave us a jar of scuppernong wine jelly

this area use to be...a very long time ago...the city farmer's market...today while talking to the goat cheese lady i noticed on the center building a zinc plaque that stated 'city market'...i've never noticed it before...click on the picture to enlarge...and notice the guy in the purple shirt riding a segway! he's some downtown ambassador who can answer questions and stuff like that...

the goat cheese lady was very nice...we asked her how she makes her cheese and she offered for us to come visit and have a tour of her farm anytime! we will have to work this in some saturday this summer.

so now i'm back at work....longing to go home and make a salad with all i got today and have a big glass of wine while i watch lost and not be surprised/freaked out/shocked/nearly pee my pants or anything like that since i cheated and know the outcome of tonite's season finale episode...but take it from me...you're gonna be on the edge of your seat...we'll talk tomorrow!

Now, that's the way to spend the lunch hour! You are lucky to have a husband that likes to eat food like that! Some cities have those segway tours. I think Savannah might have one. I think it would be fun to do that. Do they pay that guy for riding around and answering questions? What a good job to have!

rpm, that's a good question...i'm not sure but i think the segway guy is a paid employee...next time we go (which may not be next week), i'll ask him if i see him. the husband did get to ride a segway at disney in epcot last year - he says it's harder than it looks! and we are really getting into eating the local fresh foods this year...the goat cheese is outstanding! today i tasted the chocolate...i'm getting it next time.
