blogging from the beach day two

day two...crawled outta bed at 7am...sun was rising and it was nice and warm out...
there was a dog on the beach...usually the dogs are out only early in the day.
the view to the right from the balcony looking towards downtown myrtle beach...
the husband quietly got up before the rest of us and went outside to read his book...
for lunch we all shared a leftover quesadilla from last nite's dinner...

instead of going down to the beach we hung out on the balcony where it was full sun and read books all day...i finished the paula deen book (review later but let me just say it was wonderful ) and started 'the yarn harlot'...nearly finished it already...i read LOTS of books while at the beach...usually about one per day...

later in the afternoon we went across highway 17 to barefoot landing to see if the tigers and monkeys were out...the husband swore he saw a monkey over there with a diaper on last year...well there were no monkeys OR big tigers but there were 2 baby tigers on display...you can get your picture made with them...i just took pictures of them thru the glass:

one was a white tiger...he was really cute...their feet were HUGE...

i saw this sign in a gift store and thought someone might like it... at barefoot landing one half of the shops are on one side of this lake type area and you have to walk across bridges to get to the other side...they are floating bridges and the husband gets vertigo when he walks across them...there were lots of turtles in the water begging to be fed...

there is some sort of ghost story place over there and the guy above is part of their advertisement.

there is also a winery so we stopped in for a tasting and bought a couple of bottles...
there is a carousel but it wasn't open...these 2 'creatures' were rather scary looking...
i went in the christmas store and bought a few ornaments then we headed back to the condo so 'M' could cook us dinner:
lemon chicken pasta with a delicious salad of mixed greens, strawberries, goat cheese, bacon and raspberry vinaigrette!
the moon is rising and nearly full...nite, all!

Oh my goodness...every dinner you all make looks like it comes from a restaurant! The beach is so pretty and looks so peaceful. It's so nice that you all like to read so much! I love that picture! Thanks for sharing it with us. That ghost man is creepy but I would love to hear some ghost stories.
