cooking class

wednesday nite i took another cooking class at williams sonoma...this one was titled 'chocolate, chocolate, chocolate'...the instructor made chocolate decadence (like a flourless cake), chocolate pudding pie (a cooked pie filling in a cookie crust) and chocolate banana panini. the panini was the BEST thing!! it was so simple too: just slice open a day old croissant, put some grated chocolate and a layer of sliced banana topped with more shaved chocolate and then top off with other half of croissant. she used a panini press but i'd just use my george foreman! we are definitely going to have these for dinner one nite paired with sausage and hashbrowns. i think they are really meant to be a snack though. after class i perused the leftover easter stuff on sale and got these two tea towels for next year...

this weekend i plan on cleaning the house, watching movies (i've got 3 new ones from netflix: marie antoinette/a good year/stranger than fiction), doing loads of laundry and ironing and cleaning up the yard. i also would like to take some time for crafting...maybe finish ONE of the multitude of things i've started! there will also be some cooking going on...pictures and recipes will be posted.

tyler reminds y'all to rest and take it easy...it's the WEEKEND!!!

I love the tea towels!
Have a fun movie weekend. I really liked Marie Antoinette. Having just visited Versailles in December, it was nice to see the gardens alive and fountains working.
